Card 03 / The Joker

Pull up a chair. This one's off the record.

No pitch, no invoice. Just the honest version of how this whole thing happened.

Every "about us" page claims a humble origin story. Ours is humble mainly because there wasn't much to work with.

It started with one client, one deadline, and a website theme that fought me at every turn. I won. Barely. The theme is currently seeking a restraining order.

These days it's a team. An actual team, with actual other people in it, which took some adjusting to. Turns out you can't personally answer every message at 2 a.m. anymore. Someone else handles 2 a.m. now. I believe the technical term for this is "growth," though it mostly just felt like relief.

We build websites, SaaS platforms, and custom software for businesses across Kenya. What exactly we build it with is between us and the server logs. You wouldn't ask a chef which knife he used. Well — you might. He still wouldn't tell you.

Here's the part nobody puts on the homepage: most of this job is quietly, relentlessly fixing things that worked fine yesterday. We are extremely good at that. Whether that's impressive or slightly concerning depends on how the last deploy went.

If you've read this far, you've officially spent more time on our About page than most people spend deciding whether to hire us. That's either a good sign or a stalling tactic. Either way — we respect it.

Go hit the Chitchat card. We don't bite. The invoices, on the other hand, occasionally nibble.
